Weber 1710001 Summit S-420 Propane Gas Grill, Stainless Steel Review
I bought this grill from Amazon; I was worried about a whole day wasted on shipping and assembly but shipping was super fast and easy (dock pickup with a Chevy Suburban). Assembly was trivial, he grill is nearly completely assembled – add side shelves, screw in burner plumbing, set grill & flavorizer bars, done. Disposing of the packaging took more time.
Cooks extremely hot — mine will hit 600 deg F when preheating. Big cooking surface and four burners gives you a lot of options for indirect cooking and large food volumes at the same time. The grilling surface is superb — very heavy stainless rod not stamped stainless or enameled steel. The stainless body is attractive and heavy duty. Cooks very well — smoked ribs, fish, shrimp, steaks, chicken, veggies have all been effortless and good.
The flaws are trivial but keep it from perfect. If uncovered and it rains, you will have a mess. Water can enter a gap in the rear and flood the drip tray and drip pan and make a mess. Solved by covering with a Classic Accessory 70″ cover (cheaper and better than any Weber cover, look them up on Amazon) but you will forget once in a while.
The interior is poorly laid out. The tank is on the right and the drip pan on the left but it sits on a “shelf” stuck in the middle of the left hand space. The shelf doesn’t accommodate anything else and doesn’t leave room for other things. A better drip tray design and placement would make for meaningful storage. It’d also be nice to see that space a little more environmentally tight. — no rainwater.
I don’t like the hooks on the handles. They’re knobs with lips but they are shallow and items hung on them fall easily. I’d also like to see either standard or as an accessory a fold-out shelf on the burner side. The burner is great but the lack of prep space next to it limits it’s usefulness for those of us without a full-scale built-in setup.
Overall it’s as good as it gets. My last Weber was 11 years old and just got sold working and intact, and this one is twice as sturdy and cooks even better.

This is a pretty good compact grill that you can take to the park, beach, etc. There are also plenty of accessories you can buy, like the cart, cover, or propane line converter. Because of the small size, you can’t cook too much food at once–but that’s the trade-off for portability! It seems to be pretty durable too, because it accidentally got knocked over while on the cart and it didn’t break.

Weber 3780001 Genesis S-320 Propane Gas Grill, Stainless Steel Review
Last summer this grill replaced a 17 year old Genesis which was still working. It looked and worked fine, but I was redoing the patio and wanted something snazzier with a stainless body for easy cleaning.
I bought a new Genesis because the old Genesis was a real workhorse and other than replacing wooden tray slats and grill plates once I never had to repair any mechanism in the grill. I also bought this because we inherited a new Ducane natural gas grill when we bought another home and it was inferior by comparison. The Ducane has required numerous replacement components in the past 8 years. The costs involved in repairing the Ducane could have easily replaced it a couple of times.
This grill is easy to use and easy to clean. It has an automatic ignition system and is easily cleaned with a garden hose. I have also used my power washer on it and it was a snap. The thermometer gets the heat up and keeps it consistent. I’m not much a cook or grillmaster, but it does a fine job on steaks, burgers, portabello mushrooms, chicken, corn on the cob, potatoes, grilled vegetables, hot dogs, sausages, or shrimp. The side burner is great for any side dishes which may require a warm-up, but I really don’t use it that often. The actual grill surface is more than adequate for the average family.
The stainless steel exterior is the big draw for me. It is sturdy, easy to keep clean, and attractive.
This is a good grill for the basic bbq’er. I have friends who own larger grills with fancy rotisseries and woks, higher btu’s, and larger grilling and work surfaces, but this really does fine for most families and entertaining as many as 15 people.
While this grill is a tad pricey compared to some models that are found in the big box hardware and/or discount stores, you get what you pay for. This grill is made to last a long time.

Weber 16138 Q Stainless Steel Tools Review
I recently lost my Weber Q100 (someone liberated it from me when I was out of town) and I had liked it so much that I bought it’s bigger brother, the Q200 to replace it. The first accessory I bought for my new grill was this set of tools and I am glad that I did.
They fit under the shelf and can be stored inside the Weber grill itself when the shelves are folded in and the lid is closed. Talk about convenient! All one needs for most grilling sessions is a good pair of tongs and a spatula. Yes, I own higher quality BBQ tools but these are very useable and a good value considering the price. The best thing about them is that they will alway be right where I need them to be. They seem sturdy and well built.
If you own a Weber Q200, Q220 or if you added the optional shelves to your Q100 you will appreciate these compact, stowable utensils.

Weber Q 6502 Table Kit Review
I bought these tables for the Q100. When I ordered them I thought the price seemed steep for two little pieces of plastic, when I received them however I was pleasantly surprised. They are quite heavy and well built. They attached in a minute or two using a star head screwdriver (probably a large philips would fit too), by loosening one screw for each table. They easily held a plate that weighed 4 pounds or so. They fold up inside the grill when not being used, so you can still use the storage cover with these installed.

Weber 3851001 Genesis E-320 Natural Gas Grill, Black Review
I haven’t had this grill for a month yet, so this review won’t touch on long term pros or cons. However, I can say that the short term review is this: Simply Brilliant.
I’ve grilled hamburgers, steaks, brats, hot dogs, chicken breast, ahi tuna kabobs, Copper River Salmon fillets and portobella mushroom sandwiches. I’ve used the Weber 7519 Gas Grill Rotisserie to do a beef roast and two whole chickens. I’ve used the Weber Style 6434 Professional-Grade Vegetable Basket for asparagus, mushrooms and peppers. I’ve used the Cuisinart CW-128 8-Inch Stainless Steel Grilling Wok with Removable Handle to make fried rice. I’ve made bacon and eggs in the morning on the side burner. Heck, I’ve even used the Weber Style 6430 Pizza Stone to heat up a frozen pizza.
(Yes, I like to grill.)
In all of this, I can think of only one thing that didn’t turn out perfectly, and that was due to user error.
Here are the pros:
* Super simplicity. Incredibly easy to start, quick heat up time, and great temperature control.
* Excellent heating. I had 16 hamburgers on the grill, and they were all cooked the same. No hot or cold spots. The three burners allow for great control of direct and indirect zones. Best grill I’ve ever used for long, slow cooking over a low heat.
* Did I mention how easy it is? Direct line hook-up to the home’s gas supply means no charcoal to deal with or tanks to refill.
* Looks snazzy, feels solid. If this isn’t a long lasting grill I’ll eat one of the cooking grates.
Here are the cons:
* It wasn’t free. (I can dream, right?)
This is the best grill I’ve ever used, and the only regret I have is that I didn’t buy it sooner.

Im a big tailgater so I use my grill a LOT through baseball and football season. This cover fits perfectly on the grill and hasnt ripped through a lot of games and wear and tear. Some of the cheaper non-brand covers have ripped but this one is solid.
